IHN Shuttle Driver

The Interfaith Hospitality Network provides shelter and hospitality for homeless families by partnering with local congregations that invite families to stay overnight in their facilities for a week at a time. The IHN Shuttle Driver is responsible for using an agency vehicle each weekday morning and evening to transport families to and from these congregations, United Ministries, and various schools and daycare facilities as needed.

Depending on the transportation resources of the families in the program on any given day, the Shuttle Driver’s services may or may not be required. Updates on shuttle needs are provided by the Program Manager with as much advanced notice as possible, but at least 24 hours before services are required. However, the Shuttle Driver is compensated for their committed availability for typical shuttle hours regardless of whether shuttle service is required. Morning hours may vary, but are typically 6:30am-8am Mon-Fri, for a total of 7.5 guaranteed paid hours each week. Evening hours may vary, but are typically 4:30pm-5:45pm Mon-Fri, for a total of 6.25 guaranteed paid hours each week. The Shuttle Driver may sometimes be requested for mid-afternoon shuttle services depending on need and availability and will be provided as much advance notice as possible. Any
additional hours worked will be compensated above the guaranteed weekly amount.

Applicants who can cover both the morning and evening shuttle runs are preferred, although the position may be split between a morning driver and an evening driver if needed.
