Important Message from the United Ministries’ Staff and Board of Directors
For the past 50 years, United Ministries has worked to lift up the value and dignity of each person who walks through our doors, with a continued vision that everyone should have the opportunity to thrive in Greenville. In our daily work with individuals and families in our community, we see the trauma of poverty, hunger and homelessness, and we know that those realities disproportionally affect people of color. We as an organization wish to honor the pain this trauma has caused, which for many has been generational, and are deeply committed to our continued work to support those members of our community. All of us at United Ministries stand with those who stand against racial injustice and the systems that enable those injustices to continue. We will continue to advocate for equity for people of color and all those who are underrepresented in our community. There is much work left to do.
