Executive Assistant

The Executive Assistant is a quick study with the ability to learn the organization’s mission and strategy and how to support execution through assigned duties. They are a skilled “air traffic controller”, serving as the right-hand person to the Executive Director and have a deep understanding of how to prioritize appointments and unplanned events that require attention and may arise throughout the day. They will utilize tools such as Calendy or similar schedule management tools to manage the EDs schedule, while being aware, considerate, and accommodating of the agency leadership team and organization wide priorities. They will plan, foresee and avert problems consistent with the EDs strategic and tactical priorities.

Housing Program Manager

The Program Manager is responsible for developing and implementing all aspects of the Housing Program to fulfill the mission of providing short-term and long-term interim housing to participant families to assist these families in achieving economic mobility and long-term self-sufficiency. This Manager will supervise and collaborate with other Housing Program team members and with the agency’s Facilities Manager, Mental Health Counselor, Housing Coordinator, Program Support Specialist, and staff of other programs. The Manager will ensure that the Housing staff works directly with participants to address immediate needs and assist participants with setting appropriate short- and long-term goals, developing fundamental executive functioning skills and self-efficacy, and charting a viable path toward stable, affordable housing. This Manager is responsible for communicating and collaborating with all housing partners. This Manager also will ensure the quality of the agency’s Interim Housing offerings.

Communications Specialist

The Communications Specialist is responsible for executing all external agency communication in order to consistently and clearly articulate United Ministries’ mission, vision and values. Through these measures, the Communications Specialist will drive an effective outreach and communications campaign to educate and cultivate community support, including collaboration with multiple agencies, providers, donors and funders in the community.

Curriculum Specialist

This position is responsible for implementing policies and procedures designed to provide high quality academic preparation and support for adults pursuing self-sufficiency through GED obtainment. This position fosters a supportive environment that meets the unique needs of low-income adults pursuing a high school equivalency diploma by engaging in warm, helping relationships with students. The role of the curriculum specialist is to assess current teaching materials and strategies and to identify and address areas of improvement to increase student retention and student success. Training in Economic Mobility Mentoring will be required and is provided by the agency.
