Meet our intern Rishita
Hi! I’m Rishita Tikkala and I am a senior in the International Baccalaureate program at Southside High School. After I graduate high school, I plan to attend college and pursue a career in medicine.
I moved to Greenville when I was 9 years old and immediately loved how kind the people around me were, and noticed that there was never a lack of opportunities to go out and have a great time. The diverse population and ideas that surround me at school and work, along with the many friends I made along the way, have made Greenville very unique to me.
“We meet no ordinary people in our lives.” is a quote by C.S. Lewis, and is one of my favorites. To me, it means that as humans, we all are made up of gifts and experiences that make us unique and extraordinary. This quote reminds me to treat everyone I encounter fairly and kindly, as we are all on our own journeys.
On a lighter note, when asked about my favorite and least favorite snacks, I think jellybeans are super overrated, but I love dried mangos and dark chocolate!
My least favorite chore? I absolutely hate doing the dishes, and would much rather be the one cooking or baking!
